Being a part of the Write On Songwriting Experience was truly amazing! Not only did I learn all sorts of new ways to approach songwriting, but I met so many wonderful people and got exposed to a lot of different aspects of music and performance that were new to me. We heard from working producers, songwriters, performers, filmmakers, and more, and I learned so much! The best part of the whole thing was the sense of community, and spending time with like-minded supportive peers who really cared about the craft of songwriting. Another amazing aspect was all the opportunities for writing and performance that were offered. I played multiple shows as a direct result of being in the program, some of which were for larger crowds than I had ever played in front of. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to build their musical community, get better at songwriting, and learn how they can take the musical pursuits to the next level. Write-On is much more than advertised. Not only did I learn a great deal more about songwriting, Nancy and her team helped level up my creative mindset. I gained some invaluable mentors, learned about the music industry, and above all that, I got to join an amazing, supportive music community. It’s clear this program was born out of sheer passion for songwriting and generous hearts. I would recommend this program 200% to anyone of any level of songwriting. Nancy, the whole Write-On experience was amazing! I enjoyed being part of it SO much! Thank you for all you have done for us! You’re such an amazing encourager, pushing us out of comfort zones into places we couldn’t imagine we could have ever done. Forever grateful to you for that! I wholeheartedly recommend the Write-On program for any aspiring songwriter out there, that just needs a bit of a push or just a “shot in the arm”. It will do all that for you and more. The Write On! The experience was awesome. Each month I was challenged, encouraged, stretched and educated in so many ways. Each lesson served to educate me in a different part of writing and singing. Nancy is the perfect person to run this program because she is so real and so encouraging. She makes you feel like you CAN do anything without being in your face! I was able to take a song that meant a lot to me and take it to another level because I learned about how to make it’s message more effective, how to perform it in a more personal way, how to use banter to connect with the audience, and how to get it to a level so it sounds good on a recording. There are so many aspects than just writing a good song because if you can’t share it effectively then the message is not heard. I think the show at the end proved how much the students learned. - Lisa

Going through the Write On! program was eye opening and informative. As this was the 1st class of this kind I can only see it getting better every year as it grows . The info and knowledge gleaned from this course as well as the insightful info from the guest speakers was a treasure trove of industry know how.
